There's still time to take part in this SRLA tradition—

Gifts donated by the SRLA community ensure there is at least one present under the tree for the children of St. Rose of Lima Church in Newark and the seniors and families of St. Joseph’s Social Service Center in Elizabeth. There are three ways to participate:
 
1. Buy gifts for children. 
Indicate how many gifts you would like to purchase, and you will be provided with the name, age, and gender of each recipient. Please budget $35 per gift.
2. Send in a monetary donation.
Your donations will be used by our "Volunteer Shoppers" to buy toys, coats, scarves, and mittens, to name a few of the requests we often receive from the children! Please make donations as soon as possible through SmartTuition.
3. Volunteer to be a "shopper." 
Our "volunteer shoppers" are provided with a very specific wish list to purchase 5 (or more) gifts with donated money, and will be reimbursed.

Thanksgiving Food Collection

Please help feed a family in need this Thanksgiving holiday. Each grade is asked to bring in a specific item for a family’s dinner plus $1.00 to help purchase turkeys to complete the dinner.
 
Donations should be brought to homeroom by Wednesday, November 17th.
 
  • Pre-School: Canned Pumpkin or Fruit Pie Filling / Pie Crust Mix
  • Kindergarten: (1) Brownie Mix & (2) Boxes of Corn Muffin Mix
  • 1st Grade: Salt and Pepper (Small Plastic Picnic Style)
  • 2nd Grade: (1) 26 oz. Box of Mashed Potatoes
  • 3rd Grade: (1) 12 oz. Box of Stuffing
  • 4th Grade: (3) 10 oz. cans Turkey Gravy (no glass please)
  • 5th Grade: Microwave Mac and Cheese
  • 6th Blue:  (2) 14 oz. cans Cranberry Sauce
  • 6th Gold: (2) 15 oz. cans of Vegetables (your choice), (1) 29 oz. can Fruit (your choice)
  • 7th Grade: 100% Fruit Juice Boxes
  • 8th Blue: (1) 40 oz. Can of Yams
  • 8th Gold: (2) Cans of Soup (Pull Tops)

Protecting God's Children at SRLA
 
An in-person session of ProtectingGod's Children will be held at SRLA on Thursday, November 18. Register for this or other sessions in the area on the RCAN website.
 
8th Grade Charleston Wrap Sale
We're partnering with Charleston Wrap to raise funds in support of our 8th Grade class—there are tons of great gifts, wrapping paper, and all the fixings to get you ready for the upcoming holiday season and beyond!
 
Any purchases made through the website by November 29 count toward the fundraiser and directly benefit our upcoming graduates!
