Boon Supply Fundraiser Begins Today!

Boon Supply Fundraiser Begins Today!

The annual holiday fundraiser to fund the eighth grade activities begins today and runs through Wednesday, November 30th. This fundraiser is in place of the Charleston Wrap fundraiser held in recent years. Below are (1) instructions from Boon on how to set up your student(s) account(s) online (the fundraiser is all online) and (2) supplemental materials with an overview of Boon's product offerings and features of the fundraiser, along with additional information you might find helpful in setting up online student accounts.

Tomorrow the youngest child in each family will be sent home with a packet containing one paper catalog showing most of Boon's product offerings and paper copies of this email.

ST. ROSE OF LIMA ACADEMY 2022 ANNUAL HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER

Monday, November 7th – Wednesday, November 30th

We have chosen Boon Supply for our annual fundraiser to sell a variety of products for Christmas giving (or for yourself!)

·  Boon’s motto is: “Good for you, good for your community, good for the planet.”

·  Products for sale include "waste-free living" items such as a variety of reusable/recyclable shopping bags and accessories (e.g., vegan leather wristlet, cross body bag).

·  The Boon fundraiser replaces the Charleston Wrap fundraiser from previous years (but Boon also sells holiday wrapping paper!).

·  Proceeds from the fundraiser go to fund the eighth grade activities this year.

·  We receive back 40% of each item's purchase price, and this is clearly disclosed to supporters in the description of each item.

Other Types of Products Available for Sale:

·   kitchen/pantry storage and other items;

·   food items such as desserts (cakes, cookies, brownies), cookie dough, flavored popcorn and soup;

·   holiday and gift items including recycled, reversible wrapping paper and all-natural soy candles; and

·   a number of subscriptions to magazines of various types, from Vogue to Forbes to Golf Digest

How Boon Works

·  The ordering and payment process is entirely online; Boon's website has more products (including some on "sale") than the paper catalog we are sending home to each family.

·  Students do not have to take orders, collect payment or deliver items ordered

o Purchasers place, and pay for, their own orders online

o Orders are delivered directly to the purchaser

·  Students can earn prizes based on the number of items sold (see below for prizes).

·  Teachers receive a promo code for purchases from Boon based on their class’s participation: $100 for 50% or more student participation and $150 for 75% or more student participation.

LET'S GET STARTED!

1.      Set Up Seller Account(s). Follow the instructions from Boon below to set up a "seller" account for each of your children at St. Rose (this is needed to track sales for student prizes and teacher incentives).

2.      Seller Dashboards and Reaching out to Potential Supporters. When you log into a seller account, you will be taken to the "Seller Dashboard" that shows dollars raised, "Boosts," Shares" and "Your Supporters" and contains a "Toolkit."

a.      Boost

·      Please be aware that if you choose to enter email addresses of potential supporters into Boon's "Boost" tool that Boon will email those addresses three to five times during the fundraising period asking for their support.

·      Boon's materials state that sellers using "Boost" earn an average of 3 times more than those who do not.

·      Before using "Boost," you may want to consider if your potential supporters could consider Boon's emails to be spam and may respond better to a more personal approach.

b.      Shares. If you click on "Share Now," you may share the link (via Facebook, Twitter or email (see below for further instructions)) to St. Rose's online catalog where supports can place and pay for their orders.

c.      Toolkit. The "Toolkit" appears in the middle of the Seller Dashboard.

·      The "Parent Letter" is the same as the attached sheet.

·      The "Templates" link provides information on how to use the provided templates and import the necessary information into your post or email. In summary:

·      Copy and paste the template text and edit it however you feel works well for your message and your audience (via email, social media, etc.).

·      Copy the image with your text.

·      You also will need to include the following:

·     the fundraiser end date is Wednesday, November 30th;

·     the fundraiser link for St. Rose (1292029) by clicking Share Now and then the orange circle to Copy Link; paste the link into you post/email so that when the recipient clicks on the link it will take them directly to the St. Rose Fundraiser Landing Page;

·     VERY IMPORTANT: in order for your student(s) and their teacher(s) to receive credit for a purchase, the purchaser must enter the student's and his or her homeroom teacher's name during the checkout process, so be sure to provide this information and stress the importance of this quick step in the process.

3.      Questions/Issues.

a.      If you have questions or issues related to setting up your account, communicating with potential supporters or any other matters related to Boon's operations, there are several ways to connect directly with Boon's Customer Care Team. During Boon's regular business hours (8 a.m. – 3 p.m. PT, Monday - Friday) you can:

·      call Boon at 877.520.2247; or

·      live chat or email Boon by clicking on one of the "Help" buttons on various places on their website (or you can also access Live Chat or Email links under "Contact Us" at the bottom of the Boon website pages).

b.      You may also reach out to Janna Manes, 8th Grade Class Treasurer and St. Rose's liaison with Boon, at 917.657.2277 (call or text) or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
