Dear SRLA Families,

 

What a fun weekend in the Raven's Nest! The 2023 Basketball Thanksgiving Tournament was an amazing way to kick off basketball season and spend time with our SRLA families!

 

We want to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who lent a hand (or many hands!) before and during the tournament. It is because of you that we had such a successful weekend! Thank you to all who donated supplies or worked the snack bar, volunteered to take shifts at the admissions table, or helped run the clock and do the scorebook.

 

We are so thankful for all the families that came out to support our basketball teams. It was especially nice to see so many families there supporting our teams that don’t even have children in the basketball program yet! This is what makes our SRLA family flourish!! Finally, thank you to all our coaches and to our Athletic Director, Harcourt Lucius. Your time and dedication to our teams is truly special.

Students celebrated Mass together just before Thanksgiving, and it included a liturgical dance by SRLA's 8th Grade girls. Thank you, 8th Graders and Ms. Hilliard, for sharing your time and talents and for reminding us of SRLA's many blessings!

 

 

SRLA's annual Christmas Boutique will be set up in the Media Center December 6 – 8 for students to select gifts to give to their loved ones this Christmas!

 

We need a few more volunteers—please check out the Sign Up Genius for remaining time slots. (Please remember, all volunteers must have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” training in order to help out.)

 

Each class will visit the Christmas Boutique during a pre-assigned day/time as noted on the Sign Up Genius (time slot for 8th Grade Gold is TBD). Shop hours will be:

 

On Monday, we'll be sending home via backpacks an envelope for the students' spending money and a paper form that can be filled out by each student/parent indicating who they'll be buying gifts for and price range they'd like to spend on items. Gifts in the boutique range from 25¢ to $15.

Decorate your tree with this lovely St. Rose Christmas ornament, and help support our 8th Graders!

 

The ornaments are designed with a beautiful painting of the school byartist and SRLA grandparent Joseph Pieroni. The 3" hand blown glass ornaments are clear iridescent and packaged in individual gift boxes, making it also perfect to gift to family and friends!

 

Ornaments are $15 each and can be ordered via Blackbaud. Supplies are limited!
