Christmas Spirit Strong at SRLA

The Middle School drama students delighted the audience this week with their heartwarming production of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Students showcased their talents in a performance for the school and the community, spreading holiday cheer and capturing the timeless charm of the Peanuts classic.

Christmas Boutique was a Success!

The Christmas Boutique was a wonderful success! Students experienced the joy of selecting special gifts for their loved ones at our festive in-school shop. A heartfelt thank you to Stephanie Todd and the dedicated volunteers who made this cherished event possible with their time and effort.

Scream Truck Visits St. Rose

Last Friday the Scream Truck made a special appearance to share some sweet treats! It may have been the coldest day of the year, but our students didn't seem to mind!

Christmas Cookie Decorating Class

What a fun holiday activity for some of our students! HSA President Carla Penson, led a group of students in a cookie decorating class to create some treats that were equally delicious and beautiful!

Parish Tree Lighting Ceremony

The HSA hosted hot cocoa and snacks at the St. Rose of Lima Church Tree Lighting Ceremony last weekend. Thank you for representing our school and spreading some Christmas cheer!

Inside the Classroom...

Students across all grades have been diving into creative and interactive technology projects this trimester in Mr. Roberts technology classes.

Grade 8: Students took on web design by creating websites for local businesses, created personal blogs, and explored graphic design through a photo collage contest.
Grade 7: Students mastered Google Sheets by conducting surveys, visualizing data with charts, and building functional tools like calendars and budget spreadsheets using formulas and cell formatting.
Grade 6: Using Canva, students developed innovative product pitches, incorporating logos, mockups, and multimedia elements to present their ideas to a panel of "sharks."
Grade 5: Students have created travel brochures, future autobiographies and most recently honed their document formatting skills by crafting festive multimedia Christmas lists with clickable links. Take a look at a couple examples below!
Grade 4: Students collaborated on group newspaper projects and personalized magazine pages using a variety of digital techniques.
Grade 3: Students improved their typing skills while writing and designing original storybooks and comic books.
