The Third and Fourth graders had a great time at the Liberty Science Center! They dove into interactive exhibits, engaged in hands-on learning, and sparked their curiosity through exploration. It was a fun-filled day of discovery and excitement!

Join us on Saturday, February 22nd, for a night of fun, prizes, and sweet treats at St. Rose of Lima Academy!

• Time: Doors open at 6 p.m. | Bingo starts at 7 p.m.
• Tickets: $40 per person (includes 12 rounds of Bingo and a dauber)

The evening will include:

• Lucky Draw Raffle: Buy tickets for a chance to win fabulous accessories ($25/sheet).

• Golden Raffle: Win one of three amazing designer purses! ($10/ticket).

• Dessert Bar: Indulge in delicious homemade treats.

We’re excited to kick off Catholic Schools Week with our biggest Open House of the year this Sunday, January 26th, at 12:30 PM! This is a wonderful opportunity for prospective families to experience the spirit, values, and academic excellence that make St. Rose of Lima Academy so special.

Book Fair Hours: The Book Fair will be open on Sunday for parents who would like to shop with their children on Sunday January 26, 2025 from 10:30 - 1:30 PM. The children will shop with their classes from January 27th – January 30th.

SRLA has a wonderful tradition of celebrating our graduating students throughout their final year at the Academy!

The Pinning Ceremony marks the half-way point of the 8th grade year. The pins will be blessed during a special ceremony on Wednesday, January 29th at the 9am school Mass.

Immediately following, is a brunch for 8th grade students, siblings, and their families.

We are asking our SRLA community to support our 8th grade by considering a contribution to their celebratory brunch.

Items can be dropped off with Danny on the morning of Wednesday, January 29th. Please note, all items must be nut free.

 The children in Mrs Carangelo's Second Grade have been having "snow" much fun exploring the cold and snow across the curriculum!

   In Math each student followed a math glyph code to represent data and create a personalized snowman!

   In Science the children examined thermometers and analyzed temperature changes and how the temperature effects changes in precipitation.

The students also located the polar habitats on the world map and compared and contrasted the Arctic region and Antarctica.

   In Language Arts the students are creating snow poems using descriptive language as they learn how adjectives can really make our writing so much more interesting!

   In addition to all this, the class has begun learning cursive writing as well as preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation!

   Second Graders are learning "snow" much!
