St. Rose of Lima Academy has entered the season of Lent with a focus on prayer, reflection, and community. In the Catholic faith, Lent is a 40-day period of preparation for Easter, marked by prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.  The school began this sacred time with a special Ash Wednesday Mass. Throughout Lent, students will deepen their understanding of sacrifice and service through classroom discussions. On March 14, SRLA will host the Way Walkers soup supper at St. Rose parish. Additionally, the Friday lunch menu has been adjusted to honor Lenten traditions of abstaining from meat on Fridays.

Together, we journey through these 40 days with faith and purpose.

The 7th and 8th Graders hosted some of our younger students for a celebration of all things Dr. Seuss and to foster a love of reading. What a fun event!

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on:

Thursday, 3/13 from 1:30 -3:30 pm and 4:30-6:30 pm.

Friday, 3/14 from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Aftercare will end at 5 pm on both days.

PreK - Grade 4 are by appointment only with your homeroom teacher.

You're Invited: Anti-Bullying Program with Jodee Blanco

We are pleased to welcome Jodee Blanco, New York Times bestselling author and renowned anti-bullying expert, for a special series of presentations tailored for our school community.

Jodee Blanco will lead separate sessions for parents, Lower School students, Middle School students, and Teachers, providing valuable insights on bullying prevention, empathy, and creating a culture of kindness.

Lower School: Kindergarten-fourth grade: 9:45-10:30 am

An age-appropriate discussion on kindness and inclusion.

Middle School: Grades five through eight: 10:40-11:40 am

 Engaging stories and strategies to navigate social challenges.

Teachers: 12:20-1:20 pm

Professional guidance on identifying and addressing bullying in the classroom.

We are excited to announce that the 5th/6th Grade Boys Basketball Team has advanced to the Championship Game this weekend.

They face Oak Knoll this Saturday, March 8th at 7:30pm at Union Catholic.
