 SRLA Christmas Gift Giving Program

Dear SRLA Families,

Thank you again for participating in the Christmas Giving Program!!

A FEW REMINDERS:

·     Drop-off of gifts starts TODAY!! Please bring the gifts into school between Nov 27th thru Dec 4th. All gifts MUST be in by Monday, Dec 4th.

·     Please bring your gifts to the office, Danny will direct you where to leave them.

·     If you still would like to donate to Christmas Giving, it is not too late! Click “HERE“ to make cash donations.

We are collecting additional donations to purchase supermarket gift cards for the families in need.

Please Volunteer for the 2023 Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament

Our SRLA Basketball teams are set to compete in the 2023 Thanksgiving Tournament, held on November 24th and 25th in the school gym. 

This is a fun and exciting event, and we hope the SRLA community will pitch in to help host a successful tournament for our players! Check out the schedule and different shifts and ways to volunteer, including donating much-needed items to stock our Snack Bar! 

Take a look at the two links below, the first is for volunteering at the event, and the second is for donations for the snack bar.  Donated items can be left with Danny at the front desk, or brought to the gym on Friday morning.

The Ladies’ Auxiliary of St. Rose of Lima Christmas Luncheon   

Reminder - The Ladies’ Auxiliary of St. Rose of Lima Christmas Luncheon is only 3 weeks away!

We will be holding our Annual Ladies’ Auxiliary Christmas Luncheon on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Canoe Brook Country Club.

All women of our parish and friends are welcome to attend!

Our Christmas Luncheon has always been such a lovely start to the Christmas season! It is a fun way for the women of our parish to socialize with friends old and new, meet others, all while raising money for our church! This year, our proceeds are earmarked for the church steps project.

Besides the 50/50 and Tricky Tray raffles, we have a Grand Raffle this year for 2 VIP tickets to Andrea Bocelli’s Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 14 at Madison Square Garden. Raffle tickets are $50.00. Only 200 tickets to be sold!

If you are unable to attend, but would like to buy Andrea Bocelli raffle tickets, you can purchase them after Weekend Masses. We are now able to take debit/credit cards!

SRLA HSA

***Remember to wear your gym uniform and change after lunch!!**

Trunk or Treat info:

Students come to school in their GYM uniform, as to make it easier to change at lunch. Students can wear their sneakers as well.

Students will get changed after lunch. After the children have changed, we will pack them up.

Please be sure you pack a bag/container that your child will collect their treats in.

All parents are welcome to attend and enjoy the time with your child. Once they have finished, they may go home and enjoy the rest of Halloween! Please be sure to go back to the classroom and pick-up their backpack.

Trunk or Treat begins at 1:15 and will end at 2:30. We will dismiss at the regular time and there is aftercare. Please be sure to let us know if there are changes to your child's schedule.

Annual Trunk or Treat

Trunk set-up:12:00 Noon

Trunk or Treat 1:15PM – 2 :30PM

What is a Trunk-or-Treat? It's when Academy families get together in

the church parking lot, park their cars, open up the trunks of their cars,

and children come around to each car to Trunk-or-Treat!!!

To really get into the spirit~ Academy parents can open their trunks to reveal

Halloween-themed decorations. Children can walk from trunk to trunk

to look at the decorations and receive candy and treats such as Halloween

Stickers, Pencils, Erasers, Apple Slices, Small Oranges, Popcorn and the like!!! Please see the non-food Halloween treats flyer for suggestions!

Here are some fun Halloween activities you can do for the Trunk-or-Treat:

1. Trunk Decorating Contest: an optional activity for those who would like to decorate the trunk of their vehicle for the Trunk-or-Treat!

           Student Council will award ribbons!

2. Any parent may participate: just let your class parent know in advance!

3. Prizes will also be awarded for the best parent and /or pet costumes!!! (Yes, pets are invited!)

Costume Restrictions: The following Costume restrictions apply!!!

No clowns, masks, blood, guts, gore, weapons, or inappropriate dress/costume.
