Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, January 12th, is a 12:10 dismissal day and Dress Down Day for Charity.

All Preschool programs end at 11:25 on early dismissal/half days. 

There will be aftercare, but please note:

Anyone staying for aftercare must order lunch or bring their own lunch and a drink.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th, there is a 10:10am delayed opening due to inclement weather with the possibility of closing schools if necessary due to flooding and road closures.

As a reminder:

When school is cancelled during the day, all afternoon and evening activities will be rescheduled.

Dear SRLA Families,

Due to the inclement weather, all  after school activities including athletic practices and play practices are canceled for today, Tuesday, January 9th.

In addition, our Aftercare program will be cancelled.

Please arrange to have your child/children picked-up by 3:30 pm.

Children’s Liturgy Christmas PJ Party! Live Nativity

Twas the night before Christmas Eve... Saturday December 23rd

This year we refer to it as the EVE before Christmas Eve!

Due to this very rare occasion of the 4th Sunday of Advent coinciding with Christmas Eve, CLOW is celebrating the lighting of the fourth candle on Saturday during the 5:30pm Mass.

This will be no ordinary CLOW... it cannot be - this is an extraordinary situation, which calls for a spectacular event...

The EVE before Christmas Eve, also known as Children’s Liturgy Christmas PJ Party!

The children will participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word and return prior to the end of Mass - just like Bambinelli Sunday. After Mass the Hospitality Cart will be out with cookies and hot chocolate for all. Bring your extended family to celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent.

On Christmas Eve, the 4pm and 6pm Masses will have the Nativity Animals present.

On Christmas Day, the 9:30am and 11:30am Masses will have the Nativity Animals present.

* Amazing photos of the kids with the animals. This is a loved event at St Rose!

Don’t miss out on this busy, fun filled Christmas weekend. The children have Prepared the Way for Jesus to come, let’s finish strong! Plus who doesn’t love PJ parties with cookies and hot chocolate followed by a petting zoo on Christmas - no one!

PS - Bambinelli Sunday, WOW that was beyond spectacular! The costumes were amazing. The creativity, time and effort - you knocked our socks off! Please send photos and videos of the procession. Sister Sandy, Heidi and I are itching to see all the pictures of the beautiful children processing and singing.

SRLA Ornaments at the Christmas Concert!

Pick up your SRLA Keepsake Ornament at Wednesday's Christmas Concert!

Don't miss your chance to buy a beautiful SRLA ornament for your Christmas tree! These hand-blown glass ornaments are just $15 each, and proceeds will help fund beloved graduation traditions and festivities for our 8th Graders.

 

Members of the 8th Grade will be on hand at the back of the church both before and after the Christmas concert on Wednesday evening. Purchase online in advance and pick up your order that evening, or pay in cash at the church.

 

The 3" ornament features an original painting of the school by artist and SRLA grandparent Joseph Pieroni, and each one is individually boxed, making it a perfect gift!

Christmas Concert info

Dear SRLA Families,

 Our annual Christmas Concert, presented by grades K through 8, will take place on Wednesday, December 20th 2023.

As we gather outside the church, we will begin with the arrival of Mary and her donkey for Stations of the Nativity as presented by our own 6th graders at 6:30 PM.

  

Upon its conclusion everyone will be invited into the church for our annual Christmas concert.

 

 The dress code is: festive and colorful holiday attire lots of red, green, silver, gold and white.

For girls: comfortable dress shoes, (heels less than 1”)

For boys: dress shoes (no sneakers, please)

 

 The students will leave with their families directly from the church at the end of the performance.

                        

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!

Christmas Boutique Information

Time to Shop!

The Annual SRLA Christmas Boutique will be open this week, December 6-8 in the Media Center! Students will have the opportunity to shop and select gifts to give to their loved ones this Christmas. Thanks to all who have signed up to volunteer for the event.

Today: We're sending home via backpacks an envelope for the students' spending money and a paper form that can be filled out by each student/parent indicating who they'll be buying gifts for and the price range they'd like to spend on items. Gifts in the boutique range from .25 to $15 (apx).

How it works: Each class will visit the Christmas Boutique during a a pre-assigned day/time selected by their teacher. (Please note: Time slot for 8th Grade Gold is TBD).

Shop hours 12/6-12/8:

Wednesday — 8:30 am - 2:30pm

Thursday — 8:30 am - 2:30 pm

Friday — 8:30 am - 11:30 am

12/6:

Prek-3, Prek-4, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 8th Grade Blue

Christmas Boutique info and Sign Up Genius for volunteers

The Annual SRLA CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE opens next week!

The boutique, which will be set up in the Media Center, will be open December 6-8 for students to select gifts to give to their loved ones this Christmas. We will need volunteer elves to help make this event a smooth success! We're seeking volunteers to help our students shop, to gift wrap items, and for breaking down the event.

Please check out the Sign Up Genius for time slots.
